Lake Shrine Temple Visit with Amanda!

We met at the school around 10.15 am and arrived at Lake Shrine around 11.30am. 

We visited and walked around the temple for about an hour and half and then had lunch at a restaurant called Abuelita's in Topanga Canyon which finished around 2.30pm.

 It was very fun and the students enjoyed themselves.

Fall Beach BBQ in OC!

On Friday October 23, about 60 OC students met in Newport Beach for our annual Fall Beach BBQ.

We had students from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Thailand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Jordan, Egypt, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Yemen, and probably a couple of countries that I'm forgetting.  

The weather was wonderful, the water was warm, the food was delicious, and the company was the best.  All our students had so much fun together.  At the end of the afternoon, we were able to see a gorgeous California sunset.  

Thank you to everybody who helped make this BBQ such a success!

First Fridays!

 

What a night we had at the Natural History Museum! Everyone seemed to love the dinosaur bones and the exhibit of the founding of Los Angeles. First, we learned a little history, checked the gems and diamonds, and finally we danced our booties off. After, we met outside for a bite and an hour chat/class on meeting and making American friends. We had the best of times at First Fridays! Thanks for joining me and let's do it again soon!
