A night of pool/billiards with Anthony!

A night of pool/billiards in the Lakewood/Long Beach area was a great social event for the students from LSI #SBLA. There was a showing of more than 13 students from a myriad of levels and backgrounds. And aside from pool playing, there was American music and pizza from a local eatery.

With the large number of students, we took over three tables at Lakewood Family Billiards and took turns learning and playing cutthroat, a three player version of pool, and standard 8-ball, a 1v1 or team version of pool. Students interacted with one another and with LSI teacher Anthony while practicing realistic English use and everyday American social skills.

Bowling Night

On Friday, September 5th, several LSI students joined the LSI teacher Caroline Leva for some late night bowling and billiards fun at the Shatto 39 Lanes. Everyone had a blast! A total of 40 students came to the event. Some invited their friends along to enjoy as well. We were everywhere at the Shatto Lanes :) It was great energy and lots of laughs all throughout.  @LSILA

Ice Skating Activity

To beat the August heat, LSI Torrance went Ice Skating on Saturday night. The Skating Edge in Harbor City hosts an evening of hip-hop music with strobe lights every Saturday evening. It's always a fun time, not to mention great exercise! After a few hours of skating the group shot some billiards and practiced English conversation. @LSISBLA
