Angels Game with Ty!!

On Wednesday night, April 27, 24 students and 2 teachers from Language Systems - Orange County attended an exciting baseball game at Angels stadium. 

 We all got there a couple of hours before the game started so we could do the whole "tailgating" experience.  We barbecued in the parking lot, played games, and listened to some cool music.  

For many students, it was their first American baseball game. The Angels were playing the Kansas City Royals, last year's World Series Champions.  

The Angels were losing 2-0 when the Angels star center fielder Mike Trout hit a 2-run home run to tie the game.  The Angels went on to win the game 4-2.  

Oh yeah, and all our students received free hats.  It was a lot of fun!

Dodger Game with Teacher John Bury!

18 students from LSI Downtown attended the L.A. Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds baseball game at Dodger Stadium last Saturday evening led by teacher John. 

It was the first time to attend an American Major League baseball game for most of the students. 

We sat at the very top of the stadium, so not only did we have a good view of the game, but we also had the best views of the surrounding landscape. 

After eating our "Doyer Dogs" and watching the Dodgers win (8-3, with 3 home runs!!), many of the students stayed behind to watch the movie "Back To The Future" on the big stadium screens. It was a really fun evening!!

Dodgers Game!

On Wednesday night, September 10th, teacher John B. from LSI Downtown took 15 students to the Dodger baseball game at Dodger Stadium. It was the first time for most of the students to attend a Major League baseball game, but we also had a few die-hard Dodger fans as well. 

It was interesting watching students from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Brazil, and Taiwan wolfing down hotdogs and super-sized nachos, while watching the Dodgers beat San Diego 4-0. @LSILA
